25th Anniversary of the Closing of Michigan Central Station

Michigan Central Station was once the pride of Detroit.  It would be the entrance to Detroit for the thousands seeking work in the bustling Auto Industry.  Sadly, this once glorious facility has fallen to the way-side.  Historic Detroit has a great write up on the history of this landmark.

Grand Rapids Lip Dub

Grand Rapids is neither down nor out. Grand Rapids responded to recent accusations that it is a dying city by creating a nearly 10 minute Lip Dub video telling the story of what the city has to offer. The video which Roger Ebert calls "the greatest music video ever made" features Don McLean's chart topping hit, American Pie. Here it is in it's full uncut, one take glory.
